Eldredge Road Leon, New York Is Amish Country

| |

I like to go driving on state Highway route 62, because it takes me to one of my favorite Amish destinations and if you are ever in the area, I highly suggest you take a drive on Eldredge Road in Leon, New York.

The picture located in the upper left hand corner of this page, shows Eldredge Road with some simple looking signs advertising what the local businesses have to offer.

You can drive 1 mile up Eldredge Road and check out the Clocks and Crafts Shop.  Approximately 2.6 miles up Eldredge Road you can visit Larch Lumber.

You just never know what you will find on the back roads of Leon, New York and that’s what I call a fun-filled adventure!

Another shop on the same street has Polywood Lawn Furniture and Play Sets.  You’ll never get bored visiting the Amish of Upstate New York and you might just find yourself coming back again and again.

The Amish are well known in the area for being expert carpenters.  If you are looking for hand crafted wooden cabinets, then the Amish shops are the places to buy from in Upstate New York.  Depending on which direction you are coming from, you will see a house next to Eldredge Road  with a water wheel in the side yard, that is run by a pond located behind it.  Below is a picture of the Amish house with the water wheel in Leon, NY.
