The American Movie Review with George Clooney Is An Epic Fail

| |

Jack played by George Clooney is really a master craftsman. When a task in Sweden comes to an end more severely than anticipated for this American in another country, he makes a promise to get in touch with Pavel to let him know that his up coming mission is going to be his final.

Jack reports to the beautiful Italian countryside, in which he holds up in a tiny village and relishes getting away from death for just a spell.  Talk about the ultimate holiday!  I know I mentioned “epic fail” in the title of this movie review, but the actual failure was in the marketing of this movie, not the movie itself.

Anyone who is reading this review that decides to travel and see “The American,” must first allow me to provide some honest guidance. If you’re anticipating this film to be another Jason Bourne type of motion picture with sophisticated action sequences, limited pacing, and heart pounding music, you had better steer clear, for you will end up sorely dissatisfied.  It’s not that kind of film.

Are there boring moments in this movie?  Yes!  Are their hot women?  Yes!  Would you like it?  Whether or not you will like this movie, all depends on your perspective.  There are people online who will totally hate this movie, but my advice is, give it a chance!  I would have to say, the most effective moments within the motion picture center around the romantic relationship involving George Clooney and Violante Placido, who’s effective and charming as the prostitute (she falls deeply in love with him).

I must stress how this is the George Clooney performance of a lifetime combined with the director’s.  You will discover moments in this movie that can be a banquet of fascinating and very modest instances.  Nevertheless, the superstar level of quality also holds true to some extent.  When he really wants to be, Clooney is often so persuasive without hardly blinking an eye, that it’s breathtaking, Clooney has some serious acting skills that really show forth in this fine film.

The cinematography is gorgeous, however with top rated professional photographer Anton Corbijn controlling the shots, I wouldn’t assume anything less. There’s hardly any conversation within this motion picture, about five-hundred lines as a whole, which stresses the performing and also the graphic vision of this incredible flick. .

I know there will be many movie watchers, who will not like this movie for many different reasons.  Enjoying “The American” movie is about having an open minded perspective and it’s the perfect movie to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon.  When you’re done watching this movie, simply pop in “Silence of The Lambs” and your day will be complete!
