Will The Changeling with George C. Scott Scare You?

| |

The Changeling from 1980 with George C. Scott is one of my favorite movies of all time, because this film brings you an eerie tale that will send a chill down your spine.

This is one of those obscure movies that you don’t hear about everyday, but you definitely should buy if you want a good ghost story.

This is the perfect movie to watch on a dark and stormy night when you’re alone.  This film has some good scares, a great script and the acting is top-notch.

John Russel (George C. Scott) finds himself connecting with a child who was murdered and the story becomes even more intriguing as he finds out how the child was killed.

The wooded scenes in this movie are gorgeous and the creepy atmosphere within the mansion will keep you on the edge of your seat.  This movie gives plenty of mystery and suspense to make your night full of fright.

This movie may not have the flashy special effects most movies have today, but I found it to be an interesting and chilling film.  This movie has a frightful subtle simplicity, that is refreshing.  The Changeling proves that it is what you don’t see, that really gets under your skin.

George C. Scott really brings this movie to life and his overall performance is outstanding. One of the best moments in the movie is when everyone is sitting at a table and having a séance, you’ve got to see it! One comment I saw online said, “This is, without a doubt, the most underrated psychological horror movie ever.”

If you are sick of boring special effects and Hollywood horror films with bad acting and shabby plots, then I highly recommend that you own The Changeling today.

This classic film is currently available at Amazon through this link.
